Sparkey and me are goin' free style anymore...no percentage in less. My heads lost in Spring.

Me and Sparkey are drinking tea and watching DIY bands make make it happen outside in the dark on the last day of August. They rolled in from Vancouver CA, and Paris, and Seattle. Go groovin.

Now it's Autumn and the temperature tumbles at night and the sun is bleary and pale today.

Sparkey and me live at the Moonbase sometimes. It's a little safer up here and keeps us from getting way burned up and blown out (which happens too often when we're not careful). It's best. It's like battle armor. With stars.

Odetta passed away today. Caroline saw her play just a liitle while ago. A few months back… Here is her message that she sent to me the day after…all the way from Bath, Maine… Big love ~ Everyone ~ TH

…the good news is that last night, right here in Bath, maine and very much under the hurricane influenced weather, we got to see/hear/experience odetta! my god, she is 77 years old now i think and we sat in the front row somehow in this old church built in the 1890’s that is now an arts center. my god, that lady can still belt it out, and she’s even in a wheelchair and under a red knit blanket. she gave me the goosebumps, thinking about what all she’s seen and who she’s marched next to (mlk jr.) and what knowledge she’s got behind those eyes. crazy! i happened to sit next to a music journalist from this major daily paper (there are some left) in quebec city. he was a trip!!!!!!!! clapping hooting and otherwise nearly jumping outta his seat and into my lap with excitement. what a trip!! have you heard her live? i recommend it.
